Im switching to Mac HOORAY!!, my new iMac will be here Monday, and when i move all my music to my Mac i want all of my iTunes information to go with my music...does anyone know a way that i can preserve all of my song ratings and how they are named (re-naming the songs in iTunes when i first got my iPod was a pain and don't want to have to do it again) Anyone know how i can do that?

Uh, you can probably just zip your itunes music library up, and move it to the new machine.
signatures are a waste of bandwidth
especially ones with political tripe in them.

First congratulations of your new mac. I'm sure you will have a lot of fun.

Your song titles and info on the PC should be within each song in your iTunes library. I'm not too sure how iTunes organize songs on a PC but I would imagine it is the same as on a mac, with 1 folder called iTunes and inside that folders for each band and inside those folders for each album.

You should be able to simply transfer those folders into the iTunes folder that is in your Music directory.

I would do that first and open iTunes and select "Add to Library" under the File menu.

iTunes will add all your songs to the library.

The song ratings may not be carried over. I believe this information maybe encoded in the iTunes Music library XML but I could be wrong, which you may want to copy over. But make sure that the song ratings have not be copied over with the songs first before doing that. Also make a backup (or move them out of the iTunes folder) of the files you intend to replace from your PC before doing that.

See how that goes.

Neil
If I had a signature, it would look something like this
