Really odd. It doesn't happen after EVERY restart or shutdown, but it's happening enough for me to mention it.

When i reboot my computer, I have a folder in the trash can called "recovered files" and in that folder are a few documents named "20975467864" or so.

I tried to open the document in word, but it's in giberish and code.

What's going on?
THe computer is working perfectly, so i don't know why this is happening.

This is normal in Tiger.

Many applications create temporary files to work with. An application is supposed to delete these temporaray files when they are no longer needed, but may fail to do so for certain reasons. Before Tiger the OS discarded leftover temporary files at reboot. Now they are "recovered" just like they were in the classic Mac OS.
