Has Apple changed the method to have users not show up in the login panel under Tiger?

I have a user with a uid below 500. That used to be enough to get them hidden in Panther but now my user shows up in the Login Panel.

I tried removing the 'Real Name' attribute from NetInfo, no dice...

Any ideas?
