Aloha,

Apple says the following:

" If you have a third-party FireWire hard drive connected, disconnect it before installing this update. Reconnect it and turn it back on after installation is complete and you've restarted."

How can I make an installation on a partition of my Ext FW HDD is it can't be connected while doing so? Or does that rule not apply in this particular case?

Thanks.

You just ignore what they say there. They say it just in case something goes wrong they are covered, but (at least when your drives firmware is up to date) it works just fine.
