Anyway, it would be rediculas for them to not have the drivers ready. But, ATI has always been poor with driver support which is why Apple has moved away from them.
It's clearly ATI's fault
you are a ****ing idiot. ATI has poor driver support? then what the hell do you call the nVidia drivers on Mac OS 9?!! **** ? because that's what they are. the nvidia card can't even do RAVE.

What ATI problems have you experienced or are you just going on what you have heard like everyone else does!?

ATI has been working their asses off to get the drivers done as well as DVD. But it's just as much Apple's fault. they do write them along with ATI. And I think you would rather have great rage 128 and radeon drivers at release than crappy ones and mediocre support for the rage pro and IIc. right!? oh wait. you have your head too far up your ass to think about that.

ATI has said(if you know anything about the mac community and the message forums) they will release rage pro support shortly after release either as an update or part of Puma. Rage IIc 2d support will come later likely in orient.

and has Apple really moved away? Looks to me like most Apple products ship with ATI standard and most with no other choice.

and I do hope you realize that the rage 128 and radeon will offer a significant 2d advantage in OS X over the nVidia Geforce 2 MX. and that difference will only be greater at the higher reslutions where the nVidia geforce 2 mx really has problems in 2d

I would like to encourage all the unregistered posters in this thread, and other threads, to register.

Also can we tone down the name calling a bit? Thanks.

Yes please calm down.

ATI drivers are probs on wintel as well. I am STILL waiting for a decent NON BETA driver for a 128 Pro for Windows 2000. They dug their own grave, let them lie in it.

why even bother with a review like that??!?
Heh, I only exaggerated the review on the main page. However, I thought the exaggerations were obvious... My site really isn't that serious.

Hope this helps!

can you please answer my questions about FC1 from the first page of this thread? despite the fact that some folks around here took you too seriously (classic 2x as fast as OS 9? pah-lease!), your insights and observations are appreciated

and i'll get around to registering one of these days a-ight?

No. It isn't that serious. And if we're looking for comedy, I'm sure people here will go elsewere. Same goes for news, elsewhere.

Jackass.

BTW, now I don't think he has used any later buils at all, he's just mimicing others.

Kids. Sad.

If you guys really want to know, I do have access to internal builds. OK?

Now, for all those calling me 'jackass', 'idiot', and so fourth, I can post whatever I like on my web site. It shouldn't concern you on what I post, for all you know I might be an employee from MYOB giving you an insight on what to expect from Apple in the coming month!

I originally started posting Mac OS X news on my web site a few months ago, I have continued to do so. Now, since my web site got an outburst of attention recently since my company I work for received the final candidate release to do some testing, and they let me toy with the build, I quickly wrote up my experiences with the build.

Let me say to you guys one thing - I DO NOT OWN THE BUILD! I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO GIVE AN IN DEPTH REVIEW LIKE WINCENT.

And, because I'm not playing with OSX machine while typing the review, it is bound to have some mistakes.

If anyone wants to ask me any questions about Mac OS X, you can either e-mail me at:

daniel@mosrarchives.com

Reach me on AIM:

danielcanaris1

Message me on MacConnect:

undotwa

Or post a question in the MacConnect forums:
www.mosrarchives.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi

Now for the confusion about my web site:

My web site is no way affiliated with MOSR. My web site formally known as Mac OS Archive, however in recent months it was renamed to Mac OS Resource Archives. I refer to the web site sometimes as 'MOSRA', however, DO NOT CONFUSE WITH MOSR.

I appreciate you guys for reading this post.
