Hi,

Is it possible to create a SmartFolder containing all documents whose names contain .sit *or* .zip *or* .dmg etc?

If so, what is the syntax?

I tried 'Name Contains' .sit || .zip etc but it doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Simon

Hi,

In answer to my own question... ;-)

I created a new Smart Folder and went to 'other' in the first dropdown. I then selected 'Raw Query' and entered:

kMDItemFSName==.sit || kMDItemFSName==.zip || kMDItemFSName==.dmg || kMDItemFSName==.hqx || kMDItemFSName==.gz

This gives me any file with .sit, .zip etc in the name.

Yup no "or" searches in Spotlight. They should just add "or" and "and" as options.
