Spotlight question: what if I move my photos from one drive to another?

	After I installed Spotlight, and everything was indexed nicely, I moved my entire iphoto library from an external drive to my internal one. To my knowledge (and I'm still learning, so my knowledge could well be deficient) the drive has not reindexed. Is there a way to TELL spotlight that I've moved things around? Did it do it automatically and I didn't notice? I looked on the Apple page and didn't see this matter addressed. Thanks.
