Hi all,

I am in a network behind a firewall. I want to access a server outside the network and have the choice of a SOCKS4 or a HTTP proxy. How would I configure the ssh client to use one of those?

From a Windows computer on the same network (hanging in the same switch actually) I can use Putty with the SOCKS4 proxy.

I am on 10.3.9 still, the ssh client is the one supplied with the system.

Many thanks in advance!

Nicky

This question probably belongs more in the UNIX forum than the OS X forum, but here's a program you can use along with ssh to connect through an HTTP or SOCKS proxy. There are instructions as to how to configure ssh on the site.

Thanks a lot. I can't test it right now, but it looks like it is exactly what I need.
