What apps is this referring to? the disk is closed. thanks

Probably you read a text file and it opend Teachtext .... Look at doc to see whats running or in worst case restart or log out & in

Occasionally the system will think that the Finder needs your disc image. Use the Force Quit feature to relaunch the Finder, and see if that helps.
