Uh. I rebooted my Mac today and I just now noticed that I'm missing an assload of fonts. They were all there earlier today and now they're not. I wondered why some pages looked different in Safari after restarting. I'm confused

Did you log-in in safe mode (by holding shift down during the log in process after entering your password)? If you did, and assuming you have Tiger, all user installed and third party fonts (including Classic fonts) are now disabled. Sensible I guess as this is a troubleshooting exercise, but what is annoying is that there doesn't appear to be any way to reactivate them other than by logging out and back in again.

Check in Font Book (/Applications) to see what the status of your fonts is.

The fonts are gone from Font Book too. I usually always use Verdana for things and it's gone. I don't know what all others are gone, but I definitely don't have many fonts at all left.
