K. I used teh weather widget on saturday... hit f12 today to see the forecast.. and ... YAY! Saturday's forecast is still there!

I 'x'd it out,, and dropped in a new weather widget, and now I get today's forecast. Do i have to do this each day?! if so, that's really freakin' obnoxious.

I had it giving some really goofy temps for a while (wound up wearing shorts & short sleeve shirt & Tevas with a temp of 36 F....) until I flipped it over and changed it from searching via city name to via zip code. Been working well since.
Life is like a clay pigeon -- sooner or later, someone is going to shoot you down and even if they miss you'll still wind up shattered and broken in the end.

Okay, that made it crash....

(the weather widget)

K, is there a way to get this to auto update, like every 30 minutes or so? If not, this is just freakin' useless. I might as well just load a webpage with the weather.

If it crashed, something's wrong. Trash the plist and see if that works. Also, make sure you're in the right city.

It auto-updates shortly after you open the dashboard. If the degree symbol in the upper right hand corner is pulsing, it's still working on pulling down the data. It takes a couple of seconds.

On macosxhints, there's a new tip on keeping the weather updating even when dashboard isn't up (it is supposed to load when you activate DB). Not sure if that'll put an extra drain on the system, but worth looking at.
