Not sure what's going on here. Rebuilt the desktop, repaired OS9 permissions, and booted into classic on startup. All completed without errors. Still only launches partially within Panther (10.3.9).

The user reported that before the problem occurred something came on the screen wanting her to update. She clicked continue and classic hasn't launched since.

Thanks.

Just yesterday I reported a very similar problem with Classic, and I too am running 10.3.9. It was running fine days before, but after a program crashed, I could no longer successfully launch it without disabling extensions. I ultimately solved the problem by installing a new copy from the Hardware Test CD (it may be on a Restore CD if her Mac is more than year old), but I have not yet attempted to again launch the program that seemingly caused the problem in the first place.

Sweet...

Could be 10.3.9 related?

I'll reinstall from a Restore CD and report back.

Apologies for the double postedness.

No, I don't think it has much to do with 10.3.9. Just get a new system folder and the system should be fine.

New System Folder worked fine... I get some error regarding Airport in classic but it doesn't effect usability.
