Why if I take out the Desktop Icon in the Finder does it appear not only in the bottom "customized" portion of my Open/Save boxes, but also in the top portion with my Volumes?
And how can I get the slider that pulls to the left (like the Finder) that hides all the Volume names etc. stay closed from one use of the dialog box to another?
And...if I open a dialog box and re-size it to only show two columns, why is it the next time I open it, it reverts to the previous default size (which for some stupid reason is 2+1/3 columns)?
Is there a way to establish a default setup that will appear in every app?
