A friend, who uses an Ibook, was doing a powerpoint presentation. After putting the final touches on the presentation, the person sent it to my computer to see if it worked on the Windows platform. After opening it, all the pictures said "QuickTime and TIFF decompressor are needed to see this picture." A website said, "The problem, in a nutshell, is that PowerPoint/Windows doesn't support QuickTime compression." The recommended fix was to save all the pictures as another file type and inserting them not through copy and paste but by "insert an image."
Now with that scenerio in place, is there a way one can change the settings so the mac, which runs panther, does not use QuickTime compression but a format which is also supported by Windows? Thank you.

I think that website has it right. The problem probably is that he pasted a picture instead of inserting the image into the presentation.

The answer to the last question is most likely: no.
