I'd like to find a person to introduce me to the Mac World. I ordered my first Mac and I need some help to use it.

what kind of stuff do you plan to use the mac for?
what kind is it?

Welcome aboard! I imagine that at least at first, most of your questions will be here (for questions about the OS itself) and the Applications forum (for questions about the apps you run). What sorts of things do you want to do with your Mac? Depending on what you want to do, there may be other forums here that will interest you.

So that's where they hid the old Mac tutorials? They're just missing the red circles to guide you.

What Mac did you order? Did you get enough ram? What will you use the Mac for? More details can give people a better idea of what you want to know.
If not, just wade through this site and you'll learn plenty.

I'm not sure this is the best question; if he's new then he might know what "enough RAM" means.
The truth is that you can't ever have "too much" RAM; OSX will use as much as you can give it. That said, many people find that having 512MB provides a good balance between how much you pay for the RAM and how much performance you'll get out of it. PowerBooks, iMacs, and most Power Macs come with this much already. If you got an eMac, iBook, Mini, or a Power Mac with only one processor, you may want to upgrade the RAM.

512 may be a "minimum," but 784 is the sweet spot.
Then again like Millennium said, the more RAM you give the system, the more OS X will use it, and the more performance you'll get out of it.
