I've never noticed this before: is it only new to Tiger than Finder windows are now draggable by the rather skinny left and right metallic edges (inconsistent with application windows)? Also by bottom edge. Safari, for example, is draggable by top and bottom (but not left or right. Hmm. The iTunes window is draggable from any edge.

Metal windows always have been draggable by all brushed parts. Including Finder in Panther. Safari has no brushed parts at the sides, so you can not drag it by grabbing a side.
