Hey everyone,

I am toying around with PearPC (a PPC emulator for X86 if you have not heard about it) and am trying to install 10.3.

All is well when first running the program, and it can boot from the OSX cd. The grey screen with trademark apple logo appears, then the circle that rotates below spins. After about a minute the apple logo turns into this:

So I tried installing 10.0, and the same result although the error looks like this:

I realize that because i am using an emulator there are many reasons why the installation is not working, however I thought that if i could find out what the possible reasons this error would on a mac i may be able to figure out the problem on the pc side.

Thanks for any help,

Chris

Maybe Apple has disabled installing Mac OS X on anything than an Apple branded computer as that would be in violation of the license.

Hmm well thats a good thought but I don't feel thats the case of why its not working as many others have succesfully installed the OSX operating system in PearPC. Any other ideas?

Update: I tried booting in verbose mode during the installation and here is the screen that shows up if it is of any help to anyone:

What root device would it be referring to?
