spotlight crashes my finder ( x-assist clash ? )

	10.4.1 on an imac G4 17" 800 768/80 everytime i use spotlight and click on an intem it crashes and restarts the finder is this a known issue ? i THINK it might be to do with X-assist , when finder restarted it appeared on the rhs next to the spotlight app after occupying the centre of the screen anyway i can stop this happening ??
