I'm trying to fax a file, but do I have to use my internal modem, or can I fax over dsl? I'm new to this, so how do I set Tiger up so I can fax something?
(I accidently first posted this in the Application Forum, sorry.)

Faxing only works with your fax modem. Outgoing Faxing really does not work very reliably at all with the built-in software (at least in Panther, perhaps Tiger has improved it). I was never able to fax anything to anyone with just the built-in tool, but I think it works for some. The Panther version offers no monitoring of fax transmittal progress. On the other hand, I was able to receive faxes just fine. In order to send a fax, you click the Fax button in the Print menu, fill out the few options and click send. Really not much to it. If you want superior faxing support, take a look at Page Sender.
