I recently updated to tiger on my Power Book and after installing it and booting up, i whent to open a DMG file. After about 3 seconds its pops up and says "device not configured". Any ideas? thanks in advance

This is been covered quite a bit at MacFixIt.com.

One workaround is to copy the DMG file and then try to mount the copy. This has worked for many.

Let me know if this helps.
