Talking to a friend who has a blue button in the upper right corner. when you move the mouse closer it lights up. Also Exposé now shrinks to an icon. iMac 20" G5 1.8GHZ. Any ideas? It only appears in the one user account. He says he hasn't installed anything. Any ideas?

I have an idea. Your friend may have downloaded Cocktail and played with the Dock settings. The blue blob was a developer feature for using Exposé that never got released in Panther Betas (the setting was just disabled) you can turn this setting back on in Coctail. Also in Cocktail is another hidden dock feature called Minimize Desktop and it wasn't released because it is under-ready... it works a little, but for some reason when un-minimizing the windows the shadows forget to draw. It's buggy.

So my suggestion is to download "Cocktail" or "Tinkertool" to turn these hidden dock settings off.

Cocktail: http://www.macosxcocktail.com/
Tinkertool: http://www.bresink.de/osx/TinkerTool.html

I hope this solves your problem.
