When I reboot into disk utility I cannot mount my LaCie USB drive. Will only firewire external drives mount? I want to make a image of the internal hard disk onto a portable. If I have to get a firewire enclosure that is fine.

This is using the 10.37 disc that came with my Mini. I also have a 10.4 disc I have not opened yet.

Not sure what you mean by rebooting into Disk Utility but FWIW, you can't boot from a USB drive. Not supported by Apple.
