Let's say you have an EPSON printer. Would it be safe to backup (on a DVD) and then delete all the other folders in /Library/Printers such as Canon, hp, Lexmark, Toshiba, Sharp, Xerox, etc? Thanks.

You can always reinstall the printer files by inserting your Tiger installation DVD and selecting 'Optional Installs' (the icon of packages). That will allow you to select the driver packages for whatever other printer brands you have.

Personally, I installed 10.4 with only Epson drivers.
