I tried all stuff with Cocktail,, repair permissions,, etc,,. do scripts,, empty cache.... but spelling is not working in text edit,, Safari etc.. out of ideas.. thanks.

When you right-click (ctrl-click, whatever) in a text area, do you have the spelling menu?
Also, have you set up your preferred languages in "International"?

You need to be more specific about what you mean by "It just does not work."
Exactly what do you try to do, and exactly what happens?
If you have the Console application (in /Applications/Utilities) open when you try to do whatever you do that causes something to go wrong, does anything appear in the console?

BEfore,, in a text box like this I would do command shift colon,, and a box would come up,, it no longer works.. Same with text edit,, spelling does not work.
