hi all

ever since I upgraded to Tiger I've experienced some very annoying behaviour from some apps.

on lots of third party apps, when I user the open dialogue box (command-o) the app just goes into the spinning beach ball of death for about two mins before opening. after it has happened once with the app open however, it is fine... quit the app, try again, same problem...

also, I've got iPhoto set to open images in the external editor (PS). When I double click them, it switches to photoshop but doesn't open the images...

I've tried the usual suspects; deleting some com.apple prefs out of ~/Library and /Library - any other help most appreciated!!

thanks

Any mounted drives or your iDisk?

Also repair your permissions.

Did you do an archive and install after installing Photoshop? If so, check for a file in /Library/ScriptingAdditions called 'Adobe Unit Types.' That may be the culprit, if it's missing.

James,

What did you do with the local copy of your idisk to solve the problem with open/save dialogue delays?

Thanks,

Lee
