i recently bought a powerbook G4 (15").
in an effort to make it more minimalistic, i dragged the battery icon off of the menu bar... how can i replace this? also, i want to remove the date... can i replace that in some way also?

i just want to have the option of replacing them... i know i can use dashboard instead.

open up "system preferences" application.....go to the "date and time" pane and click on the "clock" tab - all the options for the clock are in there (you can also open this by clicking on the date/time in the menu bar and choosing "open date and time") for the battery icon, look in the energy saver pref pane.

The battery icon can be turned back on from the Energy Saver preferences ("Show Battery Status in Menu Bar"), and the same goes for the clock (Date & Time preferences), as well as most of Apple's Menu Bar items.
