I have recently noticed the proliferation of 'Services' that I rarely or never use in the Services submenu of the Application menu on the left of the menubar.

Where are these Services located or registered, and how can one remove them?

I looked in ~/Library/Services, but it was empty, and there is Services directory within /Library/. What gives?

thanks for any tips,
ox
