My dashboard weather widgets for cities outisde the US have stopped displaying the weather information. I was wondering if this is a general problem or something that's only affecting me?

It's a general problem. You have to make new widgets for non-US cities. The old ones do not work any more.

Apple's Weather Widget is still working for me. I put in Sydney and it gives me US, Canada, Australia in a pop-up and if I pick Aus it just works.

It's been a bit flaky for me over the past couple of weeks, most recently being stuck on Monday's weather irrespective of the actual day of the week. I tried a Cmd-R refresh, but only a shutdown and re-launch (of the Widget, I mean) solved the problem. All is well now.

One other thing I noticed is that the list of city possibilities which comes up after validation when I enter 'Dublin' is longer than previously. Some of the options look quite weird — 'Dublin Pike, Ireland' is definitely suspect, while 'Dublin Castle, Jamaica' looks very strange.

I jus tried to change it to New York and then back to London/UK and it's working fine. Notice that you need to click on Done for New York to display the weather and then change it back to your prefered city.

I had to flip my widget, highlight the city and hit "enter". The widget itself modified the text slightly (changed how the country and province name were arranged) and worked again.

It seems that more international cities are available now. Perhaps that's the reason.

Mine stopped working, too. Mazatlán (Mexico), Munich (Germany), and Nagoya (Japan) don't work anymore.

me 2
There were once four people named Everybody, Somebody, Nobody and Anybody. Somebody had to do a job, but Nobody wanted to do it. Nobody could see that Anybody could do it, and Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job. Nobody ended up doing it, and it so happened that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

The weather widget's been down for me all week too - following the instructions above (closing the widget then re-opening it, flipping the widget and re-entering my city) brought it back to life.

Isn't 'flipping someone the widget' considered offensive?
