Hello. About half the time I boot my G4 up it will load, and when it gets to the desktop appearing my selected background wallpaper will not load. It will show the default blue apple desktop pattern instead.
I've also noticed that upder the graphics and desktop settings it will show a different set of selections in the resolutions list. For example. When it loads properly there will be a list on the left that has 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, etc. Then on the right there is a selection option for refresh rete. Now when it loads all wonky without my selected desktop background it has a list on the right of all the resolutions but they have the refresh rates tacked on. For example, it will read 1024x768 @ 60Hz, 1024x768 @ 72 Hz, etc.
It doesn't function improperly in any other regard that I am aware of. But I want my picture of the Millenium Falcon when my machine boots, not the wavy blue lines! What is the deal with this? It's fully updated with every patch apple has had out for download.
