Getting rid of the warning to delete thing

REcently, I"ve been getting this warning box, after deciding to delete folders. Can't remember how to get rid of this. thanks.

in the finder, go to preferences under the file menu. click on the advanced tab and turn the "show warning..." option off.

Yes, that is off, so I guess I have a problem. It seems to happen more on an external drive, in which, coincidentally I'm having permissions problems with.
