I have tried now with 2 different cameras and I cannot get my Mac to see the cameras when connected via USB or FW.

No problems with my card reader, just had 2 colleagues with the same problem. Is it Canon or Tiger?

Must be Canon as my Olympus E-10 connected via USB works most excellently with Image Capture. No tweaking or extra software required.

What cameras are you talking about? (I haven't run into a single problem with my Olympus E-20 and Tiger.)
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

I am talking about a Canon 1D and a Canon G5 and a Canon s1. The G5 now works with USB after I have removed Virex, repaired permissions etc.
The FW does not work . I have 2 colleagues with Canon 1Dmk2 and a Nikon D1X who cannot connect via FW either.

What about a connection via USB? Does that work?

I noticed with Image Capture I have it set to auto download my photos, well it will show one as downloaded, actually download all of em, even beeps for each, but hangs interface wise at the first photo. you have to hit cancel and it'll quit. Lil annoying but nothing awful.
