Hi, I've been having problems with using my SE HBH-660 headset since I've had Tiger. I use it with skype and ichat. In Panther there were no issues once I had the correct firmware and software update installed.
Since Tiger, I'm having repeated problem with the headset disconnecting as soon as I start a call or a voice chat. It pairs up fine, and is seen in the audio preferences, so the computer knows it's there.
When it stops working, I get the error:
Bluetooth Audio Failed
There was an error connecting to your headset. Make sure it is turned on and in range. The audio portion of the program you were using may have to be restarted.
I thought it might be the software version and downloaded the latest from Apple, which is 1.5. However, when I check the system profiler, it shows the bluetooth software as
Apple Bluetooth Software Version: 1.6.0f2
Yet, this version isn't available for download.
Do you think it worth trying to go back to version 1.5, (i'm not even sure if it would let me install an older software version). I'm going nuts trying to get the bluetooth to work on Tiger just the way it did on Panther.
I posted this on the peripherals forum but got no reply, and wondered if the osx forum might have more idea if it's the software or not.
Thanks,
J.
