Okay, I'm trying to type something in Omnigraffle or Word or in anything for that matter which describes a street number, but I have the following problem.
I can't get the nd, rd, or st to accent correctly. What I mean is when you typing in 1st street or 2nd street or 3rd street, is I want the st, nd or rd to be in smaller text and located to the upper right of the digit.
Sorry if I'm not using the correct terminology, but I'm trying to wrap up a project and would like to know how to do this.

Thanks.

Those are called superscripts.

Most applications -- I know Word does -- have that as a formatting option.

Yeah, there is no keyboard shortcut for the superscript.

I don't think the Font Panel or Menu have any way to set super/subscripts. it's unfortunate.

Font menu -> Baseline -> Superscript.

Doesn't Word normally change the text in ordinal numbers to superscript automatically?

Yup, just checked, it's set to do that automatically. Otherwise, it's Tools -> AutoCorrect -> AutoFormat As You Type, and check the “Ordinals (1st) with superscript” option.

I always turn off any and ALL AutoCorrect functions. 100% of the time I want what I type to STAY the way I type it, when I type it. I always type what I mean, when it comes to formatting.

Then I run spell check at the end. (I turn off the annoying red and green underlines too). Then I VISUALLY proofread to correct any incorrect words that escaped the spell check.
