if Ive done this, i thought that took care of all the security updates to that tme. my software update pannel says I have to install SU 2005-002

how can I check? and if I did install -006pan why do I hve to install -002?

Apple changed the way they titled security updates awhile back...if the update shows up in Software Update, you can assume you do not have it installed on your machine.
