Did the Tiger upgrade plus 10.4.1 on two machines - one shows spotlight working as it should. My iBook however shows Spotlight in menu bar but shows no activity when you input a word/reference for it to find. As well, the Find command loads the window, but then spins endlessly with no results.

Finally, tried the Privacy tab in System Preferences but it doesn't even show the volume as dropped on the pane when I do it, so there is nothing to drag out of the pane to (hopefully) re-start an indexing process.

Any ideas? Other than that I have had no probs with Tiger on either machine.

Thanks for any advice

Richard
