Greetings,

I searched the database, and could find no direct answer to this question, hence the new thread.

I Recently completed my weekly virus-scan using Virex, and discovered four virus files in my home library. Virex was unable to repair the viruses.

My question. Is it ok if I remove these files and trash them manually, or do I risk some other harm by doing this?

I realize that the virus probably won't affect my mac, so the issue is cosmetic. Then again, if we didn't care about cosmetics, we might not even own macs.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Deleting a virus-infected file isn't any more dangerous than deleting a non-infected file. If these are just files you downloaded off the Internet then there's no problem, but if something belonging to the system has become infected then you probably don't want to delete that. What files are these?
You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!
