[Urgent Help Needed] Activity Monitor keeps crashing

my activity monitor crashes as soon as i launch it and writes this to the crash log:

the file GraphKit was not there, so i got someone to send it to me, i put it in that location to no avail

i have tried repairing permissions

i have tried deleting the plist

i have tried replacing the .app with someone elses

this is my first problem on my mac, so i'm very emotional and nervous right now. any help would be appreciated.

NOTICE: I put the file in the wrong place, I replaced the file and activity monitor is working now

could it have been a random system/app error?

everythign is fine now, but im still scared..
