My PowerBook has started giving me trouble with access privileges. I tried last night to open an Excel document that my user is the owner of but it said I do not have the correct privilege to do so.

Then today, Adium quits logging my chats (I don't remember the wording of the warning, it was similar Excel problem). And now iTunes is telling me that "The iTunes Music Library file cannot be saved. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation."

I tried repairing permissions but this didn't make a difference. Any ideas?

Sounds like if some folder within which all those files has had its permission changed. I'd check the /Users/ folder's permissions, as well as those of your home folder and your Documents folder.

Hmm, all those permissions were what they were supposed to be. I refreshed them all anyway and it didn't make a difference. Any other ideas?
