How do I go about saving my startup disk to an external HD then I would like to reformat the startup along with 3 other partitions back to one large, then reinstall image/archive.

What's the best way to go about this?

Thanks for the help

There are several ways.

1. Disk Copy
2. SuperDuper!
3. and my favorite, Install Tiger on new drive and use "Migration Assistant" to transfer files to external, slower, but is much cleaner and safer. Copies everything and puts it neatly away!

You can create a disk image and restore back from that with Disk Utility in 10.4.
