Something is going on that is weird and it started late last
night. Some of my Internet and other setting like for my calendar and
such have changed and when I click them I get a message saying the
application doesnt exist. Their icon even looks weird. Like a white
square but with no black dots like some preference Icons. I didnt do
anything out of the ordinary Monday or Tues night. I did a Desktop Cleanup. And IE is slower
than molassas.

Some System Preferences weirdness have been solved by trashing the caches located at /Library/Caches/System Preferences and /Library/Caches/com.apple.preferencepanes.cache

IE being slower than whatever is nothing surprising. You may have your reasons to use it, but ditching it from use (a safeguard copy for those ill programmed sites is always necessary) is a healthy measure.

Y no entienden nada... ¡y cómo se divierten!...

I am on an Imac G3 OS 9. I am confused. My preferences are in my System Folder in Preferences. I have trashed them and they come back the same. I click on them and get a message that the application that belongs to it doesnt exist.
