I just got a new Powerbook to replace my aging iBook and am having trouble transferring everything I need for my new computer from the old iBook. I was wondering how one typically transfers things such as bookmarks and the like from one mac to another. Both machines are running Panther at the moment. I tried moving the Library file over to the new computer via iPod, but it said I had insufficient permission and wouldn't allow me to do it, but if I could that seems like it would be the easiest way. Being a Mac user for so long, I think I'm expecting some sort of quick fix that I don't need to think much about, but it doesn't seem to be working that way here. Let me know if y'all have any ideas as to how I could fix this.
Thanks!
Cory

Open Migration Assistant (in /Applications/Utilities) and follow the simple directions. Make sure your iBook has a sufficient charge, unless you'll be close enough to an outlet to charge it while it's transferring in target disk mode.
