wondering if there is a relatively simple way to get a URL to launch through a hotkey.. i know there are apps out there that can do this, but i really only need it for this one purpose and would love to not waste the resources on a full app... was thinking it would be possible with applescript somehow?

thanks in advance,
horix

You could put a site in the dock then all you have to do is click on the link.

If you put shortcuts into Safari's Bookmarks bar, the first one on the left can be opened with command-1, the second with command-2, etc.

thanks for both the suggestions guys... i dont do either for the following reasons.. one, i dont like anything in my dock at all.. a bit minimallisticly anal... and i dont do the bookmarks bar thing because i want to be able to do it from anywhere.. just hit ctrl-opt-shift-w (for instance) and have it launch my webmail page in safari... (im picky, i know)

You will definitely want a full utility, then...I like LaunchBar but some like Quicksilver and others like Butler.
