Ok...ibook g4 800 6xxmb ram, etc etc

Installed tiger and it ran like hell, lots of spinning beach balls, lag, crashes, etc. 10.4.2 fixed some of this stuff but it still persisted. I just recently installed the security update and noticed that this thing is hauling ass for the first time since panther.

So here is where I am at...the only thing different that I have done is to disable the httpmail plugin for mail.app. could anyone who is running the same thing verify for me if they notice a performance increase by doing the same....or would the security update have addressed some issues that may have had an influence on performance.

THanks
