Here's my problem. I just wiped clean my eMac and re-installed Panther.
Now, I am trying to re-import my files but Setup Assistant is nowhere to be found.
According to the Apple Knowledgebase, Setup Assistant as a standalone app only came out with Panther 10.3.5 (and morphed into Migration Assistant in Tiger). But my install disks are 10.3.0 and it's my understanding that prior to 10.3.5 Setup Assistant ran as one of the final parts of the installer, not as a separate app.
Now, I have updated everything to 10.3.9 using the full 10.3.9 updater. But there is no Setup Assistant. I've looked through install packages on the disks and there is no installer for Setup Assistant. I've checked the Apple Support site and no way to download just this app. Hell, I even tried VersionTracker (which has become practically useless at this point).
Any thoughts, suggestions on where I oculd get it. Anyone want to post a copy on an iDisk for me. My public iDisk is available sans password. Just use my MacNN nick. Thanks!
