I installed Apple's Mighty Mouse driver and I don't like the settings... It seems like the vertical scrolling isn't very fast and the horizontal scrolling is really really slow. Also, cursor speed isn't right. I want the old driver back... does anyone know how I can get rid of the new Mighty Mouse Driver?

I put this in the OS X Forum because the control panel is part of OS X and it's not really a hardware problem or a 3rd party software problem, so I figured you guys could help out. Apple doesn't really make "Uninstallers"... Ugh. This is painful.

You've maxed the settings and it's still not good enough?

The support for MM is built into OS X Tiger, there is no software to uninstall...

That's only partly correct. MM sends the proper signals for four buttons and a basic scroll wheel to the OS; support for that much is built in. In order to be able to play with the scroll wheel or change the button settings, though, you need to install the software.

Okay guys. I figured it out. If anyone else wants to do this, follow these instructions.

1. Download an App called Pacifist
2. Insert your Tiger DVD into your computer
3. Drag the Essentials.pkg onto Pacifist
4. In Pacifist: Navigate to System/Library/PreferencePanes/Keyboard.prefpane and copy it to the desktop
5. In Pacifist: Navigate to Library/Extentions/AppleABDMouse.kext and copy it to the desktop
6. Go to the same places on your hard drive and replace those files with the ones on your Desktop
7. Make sure you make a backup of your previous files in case you want to revert back.
8. That's it!
