Hello all, I have a question here. I want to put "Tiger" on a diet, I see on my HDD that it took up 5.2 gigs to install, well I was watching it install and I saw that it went and installed all of these diffrent languages and so forth. is there a way to remove those? I do not speek, nor use them.

check versiontracker, there are several "localizer" apps that make it very easy to remove ALL the language & support files you dont need..
Signatures are ugly. Bitchy women are ugly......YOU do the math :)

Follow bowwowman's advice. Also uninstall any unnecessary printer drivers. The Epson ones are real pigs.

Don't those "localizer" apps remove the resources inside applications? Isn't there a way to remove the OS language files? I'm sure I have them also since I bought my machine at an Apple store and Apple probably installs everything.

Reinstall and this time customize your install to not install all of the printer drivers and languages.

I have Macaroni (Atomicbird.com), and I think it removes the language files, but I could be wrong... it does something with them...

You can do a new install and select Custom and leave out unneeded apps, language packs and printers, or you can delete them afterward.

Both DeLocalizer and Monolingual work quite well. After a long time with DeLoc, I find Mono a bit better in Tiger.

As far as printer packs, easy to get rid of (and you can re-add if needed down the road). Two other apps that eat up space are iDVD and GarageBand.

Also, trash IE.
