when i am running a process (like an audio conversion), or downloading a large file...
i set energy saver to sleep my powerbook "never", and set the screensaver to run "never".
then i put both settings back to where they were.
is there a way to shortcut this? an app, an automator script...?
thanx!

Just don't bother. If there is a task like that running, it won't go to sleep. To prevent the screensaver from activating, set a hot corner to disable it.

You could create an Automator workflow to do that.

In Tiger the Energy Saver menu item lets you switch profiles.

sleepless and a disable-screensaver hot corner seem to do the trick...
