not me,
but my aunt has an ibook running os9.2.2.
she has late versions of aol, and internet explorer.
(also, she's nowhere near me...)

she can get online dialup, with aol, no problem.
but when she goes to open iE (or netscape), neither can find the internet.

she IS keeping aol open, for it's connection.

any ideas?

i dont have os9, so i can't "see" what she's missing...

any help would be greatly appreciated!
(or i have to make a long trip out there...)

It's been a long long long time since I've worked with this, but does the TCP/IP control panel have an option for AOL as it's network adaptor?

it's there:
"aol link enhanced".

also, ppp is selected.

and aol connects w/o problem.

just the browsers can't connect...

Does the AOL software connect to, well, whatever it is that the AOL software connects to (AOL's own content)? Maybe a proxy issue? I'm really just taking random jabs at the problem here.
