I am uploading my webpage to a server. A lot of times, there is a copy of an old file that I would like to replace. It really stinks to have to click "replace" everytime I want to do that. Is there a preference somewhere that allows "replace" to occur automatically?

If you use Transmit, then yes this can be done.

I know I can use Transmit, but I'm trying to write an applescript that will do this autmatically for me. I was wondering if the Finder has a place to change replacing files as automatically replacing. I don't know much about Terminal and command codes, but I figure there has got to be a way to change it.

I'd bet Applescript has a command like "copy my files replacing existing," but knowing Applescript it's probably some syntax I'd never guess.

There is no way to get rid of the warning altogether. If you want to do it with AppleScript, the command for copying a file and replacing whatever was there is "duplicate my_file to destination with replacing".
