I am a recent convert from OS 9 to Tiger, and I am running across a problem attaching .aiffs to emails. The same thing occurs in both Safari and Firefox, using both Hotmail and Gmail accounts. When a file is chosen for attachment, after a short wait for uploading, a dialog pops up saying "this document contains no data." Anyone know how to remedy this?

how big is the aiff and what is the maximum size for attachments?
Also, try compressing the aiff to aac or mp3 (preferably the former) to reduce size with little impact on quality.

Do the files have the correct extension (.aiff) added to their names?

In addition, try zipping the file(s) before uploading them (assuming they are only for download and not playing from within a browser window). To do so, control click the file(s) and select "Create Archive of X items" where X is the number of files selected.
